Nebraska Preparing for Snow
(KTNC) - Crews across Nebraska are getting their snowplows ready for what weather forecasters say is a significant snow system targeting the Midwest later this week.
Brian Miller is a Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Valley. He says it’s a bit too early to tell how much snowfall the storm system will bring, but early indications show a half-foot or more. (play audio :14)
While the exact track of the storm is not yet known, Miller says it will be widespread. (play audio :29)
The forecast calls for snow to start Wednesday afternoon and continue through Thursday night. A winter storm watch is in effect from Wednesday night through Thursday evening. Miller says they National Weather Service will continue to track the storm.
