(KNZA )-The Hiawatha City Commission will meet Tuesday evening due to the President’s Day holiday Monday.
Among items on their agenda, the commission will consider approval of a resolution establishing the criteria and process for providing limited assistance to property owners to help cover the costs of private sewer repairs.
The city is under an executive order from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to reduce rain and groundwater from entering the city’s sanitary sewer system.
In other business, Public Works Director Dave Grimm will discuss chip and seal work planned for 2013.
The commission will also consider approval of an ordinance setting up a new employee residence policy.
The meeting will begin at 5:35 Tuesday evening at the Hiawatha City Hall.
