(KNZA )-The city of Hiawatha will begin a search soon for a new recreation director.
Terry Smith, who had held the position, has been transferred to the Public Works Department, in what City Administrator Lynne Ladner calls a mutual decision.
Ladner said the city will be advertising soon to fill the position.
In the meantime, Public Works Director Dave Grimm, Ladner and the city’s recreation committee are handling the duties.
