Properly caring for trees in our environment has become an increasingly difficult task for our City Foresters, City Staff, Tree Boards and other Green Industry Professionals. We are used to dealing with issues that we might be able to change or correct. This seminar will discuss a serious threat that may bring larger challenges than before due to the detection of emerald ash borer in Kansas. You need to be prepared before it arrives in your city in order to better manage your resources.
Workshps will be presented in the following locations during the month of February. Instructors will be KFS District Foresters, Forest Health Specialist and KDA Plant Protection Staff.
February 5th Salina - Expo Center/Fairgrounds, Kenwood Hll, Ohio Street and the Midway Road
February 7th Blue Rapids - MSCO Fairgrounds, Achievement Center
February 14th Holton at the Jackson County 4-H Fair Building.
These trainings are open to all communities and the general public. Please register the number of participants planning to attend at least 3 days prior to the scheduled training event. Fore more information call Aimee at 785-532-3300. The registration fee is $5.00 per person.
