(KAIR) -- Kansas Democrats from across Kansas's new 2nd Congressional district gathered in Topeka Saturday morning and elected new officers and delegates to represent the district at the Kansas Democratic Party's state committee meeting.
Several area residents were selected delegates or alternates.
Delegates include: Sid Jones from Atchison County, Jefferson County resident Larry Bigham, Steven Mitschele from Jackson County and Loise Bannister, Shanda Gilfert, Harry Bannister and Jim Pittman from Leavenworth County.
Alternates include: Michelle McClintock and Kirk Miller from Jackson County and Tracie Lansing, Linda Seufert, Louis Seufert and Howard Taylor from Leavenworth County.
The state committee meeting is February 23rd in Topeka as part of “Washington Days.”
