(KLZA) Richardson County Commissioners will meet at 9 a-m Tuesday morning. At 10 a-m Commissioners will reconsider an agreement with Falls City Economic Development and Growth Enterprise approved on January 8th. Under the agreement the County was to provide $20,000 in funding for EDGE for the 2012-13 fiscal year.
After receiving correspondence from the law offices of Mattson, Ricketts, Davies Stewart and Calkins representing David Leon Frederick, the Commissioners will reconsider the agreement.
At 10:30 a-m Commissioners will discuss the appointment of Jim Gerweck to the position of Emergency Management Director for 2013. Gerweck’s appointment was tabled earlier this month when Sheriff Randy Houser spoke against the re-appointment of Gerweck to the position.
The Board will meet with the Veterans Service Committee at 11:30 a-m to review the Veteran’s Service Office operations and staff positions and consider the appointment of a Veterans Service Officer for 2013. Commissioners voted to table the re-appointment of Ralph Huettner to the position earlier this month.
Sheriff Randy Houser is scheduled to meet with Commissioners at 11:15 a-m when the board will consider advertising for “requests for proposals” for architectural designs to convert the Armory facility into a Jail / Law Enforcement facility.
