(KLZA) The Humboldt – Table Rock – Steinauer School Board met last week. This was the first meeting with six board members instead of nine since the merger with Southeast Consolidated. Board members Rock Herr and Mike Bredemeier were sworn in as new Board members.
The next thing on the agenda was reorganizing the Board for the next year. Superintendent Clint Kimbrough provided information on the assignments. ( play audio :39 seconds )
The Falls City Journal, Humboldt Standard and Pawnee Republican were named as official newspapers for the HTRS district. Information was provided to the Board on the new school website and how to navigate it.
Richardson County Sheriff Randy Houser met with the HTRS Board to discuss safety. ( play audio :39 seconds )
The Board accepted the resignation of bus driver Matt Kuhlman and approved the hiring of Laura Leech as the school nurse and Quentin Coatney as a part-time teacher to go along with his duties as a para and football coach.
Superintendent Kimbrough said negotiations with the districts teachers is continuing on a contract.
The HTRS Board also met with Gary Cooper and architect Larry Chilasa to discuss the fitness center project that is moving forward.( play audio :44 )
