( KNZA )--Five people were injured early Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 75 Highway in Jackson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 44-year-old Tracy Zule of Soldier and 22-year-old Brandy Hladky of Hoyt were both traveling north when Hladky slowed to turn left onto 134th Road. Her Chevy Silverado was struck in the rear by Zule’s Pontiac Grand Prix. Zule and three passenger’s in his vehicle, 34-year-old Tiffany Zule, 13-year-old Shelby Nash and 7-year-old Jackson Nash--all from Soldier--were transported to Stormont Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka. Hladky was also transported to the hospital. The Patrol says all were wearing seatbelts, except Tiffany Zule.
The accident was reported shortly after 12 noon.
