(KNZA )-The Jackson County Commission has signed a new contract with County Counselor Alex Morrissey.
Under the contract approved Monday, Morrissey will receive an additional 12-hundred dollars per year.
The commission also agreed pay the dues for Morrissey’s membership in the County Counselors Association of Kansas in the amount of $200.
In other business, the commission approved the 2013 contract with the Rural Development Association of Northeast Kansas to provide economic development services in the county.
And commissioners approved the appointment of Melissa Morse to the Kanza Mental Health Board for a three-year term ending December 31st, 2016.
