Effingham Council Tables Employee Wage Increases
01/04/2013

(KAIR) -- In a meeting light on action Wednesday night, the Effingham City Council tabled a resolution to give an increase to city employees.

According to City Clerk Pat Strine, the Council wanted to see what direction the first annual Countywide Summit on January 10th would produce when it comes to determining countywide sales tax, as well as monitoring other state policies before determining a change in wages.

The council also took no action on installing an emergency water hook-up with Rural Water District Five.
