( KNZA )-A new city clerk and assistant city clerk on the job at the Highland City Hall.
Melanie Hollabaugh is now city clerk, replacing Bill Butrick who recently retired.
Hollabaugh had served as assistant city clerk since January 2007, and became a full-time employee last August.
Joann Karn is the new assistant city clerk. She works on a part-time basis.
Until last July, the Kansas Chief reports that Karn had been a longtime local school district employee. She had served as clerk for the former USD 425 district. When the district was consolidated with Midway USD 433, and became USD 111, she assumed the role of treasurer-accounts payable.
