A second individual with Thompson, 25-year-old Dennis Schlund of Humboldt, Nebraska, was issued a notice for court on the charge of theft.
It was while police were investigating Thompson and Schlund when 43-year-old Sandra Hovey of Fillmore, Missouri allegedly took two thousand dollars worth of items belonging to Schlund and his girlfriend from the hotel room that Hovey and the couple were staying at in 500 block of U.S. 73.
Police were able apprehend Hovey before she left the hotel.
Thompson and Hovey both remain in Atchison County Jail awaiting bond and formal charges.
