(KNZA)--The expenditure carries a high price tag, but, to hear Horton Police Chief Beau Hasenohr tell it, the software purchase will bring his department into modern compliance while benefiting the safety of the community.
Known as Interpol, Hasenohr says the software will streamline the police department’s operations(Play Audio)
Additionally, Interpol will allow easier interaction with the state of Kansas, simplifying the steps that must be taken for filing mandatory reports(Play Audio)
Hasenohr says the software will also allow Horton officers, and investigators, to check the status of local offenders elsewhere(Play Audio)
Horton City Commissioners have, for several months, heard Hasenohr’s request for the software. He went to work finalizing plans to make the 20-thousand-250-dollar purchase, which was ultimately approved by the Commission during a special meeting last week.
The purchase is being made through a 5-year-financing plan.
