(KNZA)--The Topeka Police Department is warning about a possible scam preying on those wanting to assist, following the tragic shooting of two Topeka police officers this week.
Apparently, according to police, someone has established an online Paypal account, claiming that it can be used to send money to the Topeka Police Officers Memorial funds.
However, the only legitimate way to donate is by check, mailed or delivered, to the two accounts established at the Topeka Police Credit Union.
Cash, if the only method of donation, can be delivered to the Credit Union from 9 until 2:00 weekdays.
