(KLZA) The Little Tarkio Creek Bridge on U.S. Hwy 136 in Atchison County has reopened to traffic, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation. Widel Construction of Blackwater, Missouri, closed the route on September 4th for a bridge replacement project and has completed the project on schedule.
The new bridge is wider by seven feet, going from 25 to 32 feet, and a two-foot paved shoulder was added surrounding the bridge, as part of the project, bringing smoother and safer transportation to motorists in Northwest Missouri.
MoDOT appreciates the patience of motorists and nearby residents during this necessary work and encourages everyone to slow down, buckle up and drive safely through work zones to ensure all of us are able to Arrive Alive.
