(KLZA) 29 year old James W. Graves of Salem was sentenced to a period of 40 – 55 years in prison for sexual assault by Richardson County District Court Judge Daniel Bryan.
Graves entered a guilty plea in a plea agreement in August to a pair of charges of sexual assault in the first degree, both charges being class II felonies.
As part of the plea agreement, the State, represented by a special prosecutor wit the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, dismissed, with prejudice, 10 counts against Graves.
Graves must also register as a sexual offender for 25 years.
The investigation of this case was conducted by the Nebraska State Patrol determined Graves has repeatedly sexually assaulted the victim who was between the ages of 12 and 16 over a three year period.
