Peru State College football players Preston Bruss and Ryan Ludlow were named to the Heart of America Athletic Conference first-team all-conference squad.
Bruss, a senior linebacker from Bennet, let the Bobcat defense with 111 total tackles, including 37 solo stops and two-and-a-half quarterback sacks. He finished the year as the second-leading tackler in the HAAC and is ranked 19th nationally in tackles per game.
Ludlow completed a stellar sophomore season at running back. He gained 1,219 yards on the ground, and scored 24 touchdowns – 22 rushing and two receiving. Ludlow was twice named the conference offensive player of the week and finished first in the league in scoring per game.
In addition to Bruss and Ludlow, three Bobcats were named to the third team all-conference – Tyler Ford and Jacob Grobe on offense, and Zach Lempka on defense.
Honorable mention recognition went to Neil Bowman, Curtis Larsen, and Garret Campbell – all on defense.
