Auburn Council Again Discusses Request to Remove Airport Authority Board Members
(KLZA) For the past several months the City of Auburn has been dealing with a complaint about the Auburn Airport Authority from Dottie Holliday of Auburn.
According to an e-mail from Holliday, last week her attorney, William Blake advised the City Attorney to pass a resolution to remove the current Airport Authority Board members from office for incompetence, neglect of duty, or malfeasance in office, followed by action by the City Attorney in the district court to accomplish the removal.
Auburn Mayor Scott Kudrna discussed with us the City Councils reaction during last week’s meeting. ( play audio :50 seconds )
Mayor Kudrna talked about some of the issues the Airport Authority is trying to clear up. ( play audio :16 seconds )
In her e-mail Holliday said the cheapest solution would be for the Airport Authority Board members to resign, eliminating the need for court action.
