(KAIR) -- Efforts are being made to sell personal property of an abandoned rural Oskaloosa business owned by Jefferson County.
County Commissioners on Monday met with attorney Michael Kelly to discuss the selling of the equipment at Biofoods.
Kelly estimates that it would take six thousand dollars to conduct an auction.
Commissioners want to have a contract proposal drawn up before moving forward.
Biofoods designed medical devices for various entities before folding several years ago and the property was acquired by the county.
Commissioners also discussed the potential purchase of two used ambulances with James Tweed of the Ambulance Department.
The pair would cost 120 thousand dollars, compared to a new one at 130 thousand.
Commissioners approved personnel to go to Florida to purchase them with funds from the Ambulance Capital Outlay fund and the commitment to sell a current ambulance, keeping the fleet at five.
