( KNZA )--Nearly $590,000 in federal funding is currently available for future road projects in Doniphan County.
County commissioners Monday reviewed correspondence received from the Kansas Department of Transportation regarding Federal Funds Exchange dollars allocated to Doniphan County for the years 2011 through 2013.
A 2 inch asphalt overlay project was recently completed on Last Chance Road with nearly $472,000 in funding allocated through KDOT’s Federal Funds Exchange Program.
The next project to be done through the program will be the overlay of Castleton Road, south of Highway 20.
The third project to be completed will be an overlay on 165th Road in the 3rd District.
