(KLZA) Richardson County Commissioners voted to accept the lone bid received for the asphaltic concrete overlay project bid from Constructors Inc. of Lincoln when they met Tuesday.
The $845,520 bid will be for two miles of work on the “Dustless Highway” north of Falls City and on 712 Road between 651 Boulevard and 653 Avenue and four miles of 633 Avenue between 706 Road and 702 Road known as the “Bern Road” south of Humboldt.
Sheriff Randy Houser updated Commissioners on business in his office and the jail and further discussed his request from the previous week to consider the purchase of another patrol car to replace a unit that is having ongoing mechanical problems.
Clerk of the District Court Pam Scott presented the Board with an agreement for consideration with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services for Child Support Enforcement Services with Richardson County District Cout. The Board voted to enter into the agreement .
Terry Tisdel had requested to meet with Commissioners to review ATV and UTV use on county roads but requested the meeting be postponed due to a scheduling conflict.
