( KNZA )--A Holton man has been appointed to a state board by Governor Sam Brownback.
Governor Brownback announced today ( Wednesday ) he has appointed Bradford Stauffer to represent the VFW on the Kansas Veterans Claims Assistance Advisory Board. The appointment is for a three-year term.
The mission of the board is to improve the coordination of veterans benefits counseling in Kansas, maximize the effective and efficient use of taxpayer dollars and to ensure that every veteran is served and receives claims counseling and assistance.
Stauffer serves as the Post Service Officer for the VFW. He served in the 130th Field Artillery Brigade in the Kansas Army National Guard, and was the senior non-commissioned officer in charge of a tactical operations center for the brigade.
Stauffer is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Disabled Veterans of America.
