(KAIR) -- Atchison County Commissioners voted Monday morning at their regular meeting to enter into negotiations with a provider for solid waste and recycling.
Commissioner Jeff Schuele says out of the three options, they chose Kansas City, Kansas based Deffenbaugh Industries.

Schuele says things look very likely that the current solid waste fee capped rate of 72 dollars could lower.

In other business, Commissioners set the public hearing for the 2013 budget Wednesday at 11, instead of 9:30.
They will also have a special start time of one for their October 8th meeting in meeting with Hays consulting on employee health insurance.
