(KAIR) -- Several streets around the Atchison County Community Elementary School have been designated “No Parking Anytime” zones.
The Effingham City Council Thursday evening in a series of special meetings approved the designation from Ninth Street and Tiger Road to Seabury Street on a permanent basis.
The Council also approved on a trial basis no parking on both sides of Seabury Street from Main to ninth.
They also renewed the state of Kansas health program as the city’s health insurance carrier after shopping around for a lower cost provider and were unable to do so.
The Council also decided to advertise for the vacant City Treasurer position.
They will be accepting applications until October 10th and the individual must live in Atchison County.
