Flags to Fly at Half-Staff
(KLZA) Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman in accordance with the proclamation from President Barack Obama, announced all U.S. and Nebraska flags to be flown at half-staff as a sign of respect for the memory of Neil Armstrong on the day of his interment. Flags will be flown at half-staff on Friday, September 14, 2012, until sunset.
Additionally, in accordance with the later proclamation from President Barack Obama, Governor Heineman announced all U.S. and Nebraska flags to be flown at half-staff through Sunday as a sign of respect for the memory of John Christopher Stevens, United States Ambassador to Libya, and American personnel killed in the attack on the diplomatic facility in Benghazi. Flags will be flown at half-staff on Sunday, September 16, 2012, until sunset.
