Dozens Remember 9/11 at Atchison Riverfront

(KAIR) -- Dozens of citizens gathered at the Atchison riverfront Tuesday night to remember those lost during the attacks on September 11, 2001.

Army Major John M. Insetta is currently stationed at Fort Leavenworth.

Originally from New York, he was in sent to New York City for rescue attempts on October 6, 2001.

Longtime Atchison Reverend Jack Albright also made remarks.

He says there are two kinds of patriots.

Several volunteers participated in the event passing out candles and cleaning up, including area boy and girl scouts, as well as students from Atchison High School and ACCHS.
