( KNZA )-- A roadside interdiction in Brown County leads to the arrest of one individual and numerous citations being issued.
The Brown County Sheriff’s office and the Kansas Highway Patrol conduct the roadside interdiction Friday on U.S. 75 Highway.
Sheriff John Merchant says 20-year-old Sidrick Backer of Canada was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and littering.
Merchant says numerous citations were issued by both agencies for failure to wear seatbelts, littering, transporting open containers and one for texting while driving.
