The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department arrested four individuals on drug related charges during two different traffic stops Friday evening and Saturday morning.
Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse says Friday evening a deputy stopped a vehicle south of Delia on E. Road for allegedly speeding.
Arrested at the scene was 35-year-old Matthew James Sumner of Topeka and 48-year-old Troy L. Adkins of Rossville.
Sumner was booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Adkins was booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Bond on Sumner was set at $12,500.00 and Adkins bond was set at $10,000.00.
On Saturday morning, Morse says a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction south of 158th on M. Roads.
Arrested at the scene was 42-year-old Thomas B. Farrell and 50-year-old Richard Niedfeldt, both of Saint Mary’s.
Farrell was booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of hydrocodone, transporting an open container and driving while suspended. Niedfeldt was booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of methamphetamine, possession of hydrocodone and transporting an open container.
Niedfeldt is currently free on $20,000.00 bond and Farrell is being held on $20,000.00 bond.
