(KLZA) The Falls City Sacred Heart Irish will travel to Pawnee City tonight. It is the season opener for both teams. The Irish are ranked 1st in D2 in the Omaha World Herald and 4th in the Lincoln Journal Star in the pre-season polls. Pawnee City is coming off a great 2011 season that ended in a very disappointing loss in the playoffs. Despite some very good returning players the Indians are not ranked at this point.

The Tigers host Ashland-Greenwood tonight. The Bluejays were hit hard by graduation in the spring but Coach Fritz expects they will be ready to play on both side of the ball. ( play audio :18 seconds )
Pre-game coverage for the Sacred Heart – Pawnee City game begins at 6:25 p-m this evening when we bring you the Peru State Coaches Show. Kickoff will be at 7 p-m.
