(KLZA) Pawnee County Commissioners met with Weed Superintendent Larry Bradbury this week regarding the weed problems. Bradbury noted a couple of thistle problems he is not satisfied with but noted the Sericea Lespedeza problem is not as bad as last year.
Bradbury also presented a letter of support for the grant monies for 5-Rivers Weed Management. Commissioners approved a signing the letter of support for the 5-Rivers Weed management grant funds.
Irene Fisher met with Commissioners regarding the MFO request for funds for the various Pawnee County Fire Departments. They are requesting the same amount as last year of 2.69-cents per $100 of assessed valuation.
Commissioners also suggested County Clerk Carol Young look into the purchase of a digital recorder to use during meetings.
Various department budgets for the new fiscal year were also discussed.
