(KNZA)--Although the weather continues to bring summertime heat, a Holton church has it's thoughts turned to fall, and the approaching season of pumpkins.
In fact, the church looks to bring a community pumpkin patch to the city's Linscott Park in time for the Halloween Holiday.
City Manager Bret Bauer says, following a review of the request by the Holton City Commission, the goal will become a reality(Play Audio)
Bauer says it's expected that the pumpkin patch will open for business in early October, and remain in place through the month(Play Audio)
Pumpkins, from the patch, will be sold at a cost, not yet determined, with the funds generated by the sales to be utilized by the church.
