(KNZA)--An old-fashioned evening under the big top will happen in Holton Tuesday, when the Culpepper and Merriweather Circus comes to the Jackson County community.
Sponsored by the Holton/Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, the Circus Company, based in Hugo, Oklahoma, known as “Circus City USA,” will provide two performances, one at 5:30 and the second at 7:00, at the Jackson County 4-H Fairgrounds.
Appearing at both performances will be the company's Advanced Clown, Skeeter.
Many sights, and thrills, will accompany the show.
The circus is expected to arrive at the fairgrounds, in Holton, Tuesday morning, and will, between 9 and 10:00, raise the Big Top. The public is invited to watch that happen, and then stay for a free tour, featuring a first hand look at the circus grounds, facts and history about the show, as well as information regarding the animals used during the performance:
Advanced tickets are available at Holton National Bank, Farmers State Bank, Denison State Bank, 7-Eleven, Casey's General Store, and the Holton/Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Office.
