( KMZA )--A resurfacing project on a 27-mile stretch of K-63 from the Pottwatomie/Nemaha County line south to junction with U.S. 24 junction in St. Mary’s has been completed ahead of schedule and reopened to unrestricted traffic.
The Kansas Department of Transportation made the announcement Friday.
The 27-mile stretch of K-63 currently has temporary pavement markings and KDOT crews will complete permanent pavement marking work at a later date.
Work on the project began June 8th and had been scheduled for completion in late August.
Dustrol Inc. of Towanda was the primary contractor on the $2.3 million project.
