(KTNC) - The Johnson-Brock Board of Education approved the negotiated agreement with the district’s teachers for the next two school years Monday night.
The negotiated agreement calls for a $700 increase in the base salary each year of the contract, raising the base teacher pay to $30,400 for this coming school year and $31,100 for the 2013-2014 school year.
The board also set admission prices for school activities for the next school year. Superintendent Jeff Koehler says there will be an increase in some admission prices, as well as other changes. (play audio :24)
The board also approved transfers from the General Fund to the Lunch Fund, the Activities Fund, and the Depreciation Fund.
Koehler says the Johnson-Brock School District has been able to acquire a used van to transport a handicapped student to and from school. (play audio :18)
And Koehler says the artificial turf has been installed on the football field, and the team has been practicing on the turf since August 6th. Koehler says the kids and coaches are excited to have the new turf installed and it provides a great place for the team to practice as it prepares for the season. (play audio :32)
Monday’s board meeting began with the annual hearing of board policies pertaining to student fees, and patron and parental involvement. No public comments were heard at the hearing.
