( KNZA )--1st District State Senator Dennis Pyle of rural Hiawatha Tuesday easily won the Republican primary in his bid for re-election.
Pyle received 66 percent of the vote over challenger Marje Cochren.
Pyle will face Democrat Steve Lukert in November.
Incumbent 62nd District State Representative Randy Garber won the Republican primary, receiving 59 percent of the vote over challenger Leslie Scoby.
Garber will face Democrat Dennis Stones in November.
Incumbent Richard Carlson of St. Marys won a three-way Republican primary race for the 61st District Kansas House seat.
Carlson received 43 percent of the vote over his two Holton challengers, Trent LeDoux and Dan Brenner.
Carlson will face no Democratic opposition in November.
