( KNZA )--Doniphan County Undersheriff Chad Clary of Highland won a five-way race for the Republican nomination for sheriff Tuesday.
Clary will now face Democrat Jason Liechti in November.
There will be a new 2nd District Doniphan County Commissioner.
Terry Horner won a three-way race in the Republican primary defeating incumbent Wayne Grable and Wayne Rush.
Horner will now face Democrat Paul Smith in November.
In the race for 3rd District Commissioner, incumbent Republican Jerry McKernan defeated challenger Dennis Muse.
McKernan will face Democrat Paul Scott in November.
Voters in 8 Doniphan County townships approved mill levies for the purchase of rock. They include Burr Oak, Center, Independence, Iowa, Marion, Union, Wayne and Wolf River.
The mill levies are for four years.
