(KAIR) -- The Amelia Earhart Airport in Atchison will see some renovations in the near future.
Commissioners unanimously authorized authority Monday to move forward with the project to renovate the hangar taxiway.
City Manager Trey Cocking says they have a few things to iron out.

Commissioners also heard a presentation from Tom Bliss Executive Director of the MO-KAN Regional Council.
Community Development Director Stefanie Leif says the plan is in its early stages.

Commissioners also unanimously re-appointed Jesse Greenly to serve another four-year term on the Atchison Housing Authority Board, as well as a nearly 21 thousand dollar replacement of one door and windows at the fire station.
They also approved a 20 thousand dollar purchase of a raw water intake pump to return to having three fully-functional owned pumps at the water treatment plant.
