(KAIR) --By state law, the sales tax holiday for the state of Missouri began Friday morning.
In 2012, the three-day holiday began at 12:01 and runs through Sunday.
Certain back-to-school purchases, such as clothing, school supplies, computers, and other items as defined by the statute, are exempt from sales tax for this time period only.
While several cities and counties in the state are not participating, all Missouri counties within our region will participate.
