The U.S. Supreme Court voted recently to uphold the constitutionality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act – known either pejoratively or affectionately as Obamacare.
Nebraska Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Bob Kerrey says he supports the 2010 law, with modifications. (play audio :25)
Kerrey’s Republican opponent, former State Senator Deb Fischer of Valentine has said she’d work to repeal the healthcare law if she’s elected to the U.S. Senate, but Kerrey says that is not the answer. (play audio :31)
Kerrey also counters the perception that the Affordable Care Act is a “government takeover” of healthcare. Quite the opposite, he says it decentralizes the healthcare system. (play audio :36)
Bob Kerrey spoke to supporters during a campaign stop in Falls City Saturday afternoon.
