(KNZA)--Although the kick-off of the annual week long Jackson County Fair is still days away, beginning July 30th, a pre-fair event, serving as a warm-up for the 4-H celebration, will happen early. In fact, it's Saturday morning when the Horse Show will be held , beginning at 9:00.
That's set to happen at the Northeast Kansas Heritage Complex, located 1½ miles south of Holton on Hwy 75 and ¼ mile west on 214 Road.
Meanwhile, the finishing touches, in preparation for the fair, are being put in place, with numerous events, including a Rodeo next weekend, planned as part of Jackson County's annual celebration of the works of local 4-H members.
