The Humboldt City Council will meet at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the City Clerk’s office.
The regular meeting includes several items pertaining to the Richardson County Fair and Humboldt Fall Festival. That includes requests for permission to use the highway, Square Park, and city streets during the fair. The council will consider a resolution granting temporary use of the highway during the fair.
The council will also consider approving three building permits, and the second reading of two ordinances during the meeting.
Tuesday’s meeting will be the final meeting for Mayor Jim McKim, who is resigning effective at the end of the meeting. McKim is stepping down as Mayor due to health reasons.
At the end of the meeting, the council will adjourn to reconvene. Council president Mike Riley will then resign his council seat and be sworn in as Mayor.
Anyone who would like to fill Riley’s Ward One council seat – until the November election – should apply at City Hall to be considered.
