(KTNC) - Construction work on Falls City’s Main Street Project, which started Monday morning, has ground to a temporary halt.
City Clerk Gary Jorn says the contractor, AHRS Construction, stopped work on the south side of 17th Street as they try to determine the location of the fiber optic cable buried under the street. (play audio :26)
At this point, Jorn says it’s not known exactly when AHRS will resume work on the project.
Jorn says contract stipulations that call for work on the south side of 17th Street and the west side of Stone between 17th and 18th to be completed by October 31st are still in effect.
