The Pottawatomie County Sheriff Office is investigating an attempted aggravated robbery at a Manhattan Motel. Sheriff Greg Riat says the incident occurred shortly before 10:30 Sunday night at the Best Western Motel located at 601 East Poyntz. Riat says the night clerk reported that a male suspect wearing black clothing, black hoodie, and having a bandana covering his face approached the clerk brandishing a knife and demanding money. The clerk struck the suspect with a phone, and the suspect then fled the scene empty handed . The suspect was described having a medium build. Anyone with information on the crime is asked to contact the Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office at 785-457-3353.
