A candidate for Atchison County Clerk has dropped out of the race.
Republican Steve Gardner removed his name from consideration Monday afternoon, citing a desire to pursue a career in a field that is more closely related to his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education.
That leaves the Democratic Incumbent Pauline Lee as the only person remaining in the race.
