Survivors making the final turn during the survivors lap on the Hiawatha High School Track, during the Brown Co Relay For Life, held June 9th through 10th.
An outstanding achievement, with an increase in funds raised.
That's the outcome of this year's Brown County Relay For Life, held June 9th at the Hiawatha High School track.
Laura Brobst, of the volunteers who worked to make the annual event happen, says the funds are now calculated, and the community support shown must be commended(Play Audio)
Brobst says the calculation is the gross amount raised, with some donations continuing to be received, and the committee left with some expenses to be paid.
Nonetheless, the Relay is considered a success, and planning for next year will begin soon. Currently, the committee is seeking community input into the planning process, making available an evaluation form to provide ideas(play Audio) The printable evaluation form is posted here. Please complete and return to Amy Kralicek of the American Cancer Society, any committee member, or bring it with you June 21st. That's when the Relay Wrap-Up meeting will be held starting at 5:30, at the Fisher Center in Hiawatha. Feedback will be taken into consideration during the planning for Relay For Life 2013.
