A June 25th preliminary hearing has been set for former Sabetha Police officer charged with distribution of methamphetamine and official misconduct.
Ryan Bruggeman made his first appearance Tuesday in Nemaha County Court on the felony charges.
Bruggeman was arrested last Thursday on a Nemaha County warrant following an investigation by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
According to court documents, the alleged crimes occurred on December 19th, 2010. The wording of the documents indicates that the meth was taken from police evidence.
Bruggeman was an officer with the Sabetha Police Department from June 2009 through April of last year.
He remains in the Jackson County Jail on $150,000 bond.
