With strong support shown for needed daycare in the City of Centralia, the school district moves forward with plans to open such a facility in the community.

When the facility opens, the youngest of children will not be accepted; however, Whetzal says, based on demand, that could change in the future(Play Audio)
The opening is currently set for August 1st, with the daycare to be open 12 months out of the year.
The center's license allows for the care of 59 children at the facility.
