Theater is alive in the community of Seneca, where a new organization is formed, and planning their maiden performance.
At the helm is Michael Hill, a teacher at Nemaha Valley, who now serves as the Executive Director for the Seneca Area Community Theatre(Play Audio)
Now, the group is seeking funding, with early efforts starting successfully, including a recent allocation of five-hundred-dollars, provided by the Nemaha County Commission, through the Parks and Recreation Fund(Play Audio)
As fund raising moves forward, Hill, and the other members of the Seneca Area Community Theatre, set their sights on the upcoming performance of Neil Simon's “The Odd Couple"(Play Audio)
The show will be staged by two casts, and is scheduled to be performed during the weekend of July 27 through the 29th.
That will happen in the Nemaha Valley High School commons area, with the start up costs, for the show, estimated between 750 to one-thousand-dollars.
Donations, and sponsorships, are being accepted by the Seneca Area Community Theatre in order to defray costs for the performances.
