It's only the earliest part of the summer season, but thoughts are already turning to fall, and the season of Halloween.
The City of Hiawatha is well known for it's celebration of the spooky holiday, and is noted as having one of the longest running Halloween parades in the nation.
In two years, that tradition will celebrate it's 100th anniversary, and planning is underway for that occasion.
A brainstorming session, to prepare for that milestone, will be held Saturday in Hiawatha.
Chamber of Commerce Administrator Stacy Babb says much work must be accomplished between now and then, and that will be the focus of Saturday's forum(Play Audio :35 seconds)
Saturday's planning meeting will begin at noon at the Fisher Center in Hiawatha.
Babb says all members of the Hiawatha community, interested in helping to plan for the 100-year Halloween celebration, are invited to attend.
