It was the Centralia Panthers taking home the team crowns in the Frankfort Invitational track meet. On the girls side it was actually a tie between the Centralia Panthers and the Hanover Wildcats for first place with 96 cumulative team points, but Centralia had two more top three finishers than Hanover on the day with 15 to 13. On the boy’s side Centralia dominated with a team score of 139, which were 48 points better than second place. The Panthers boys took home 20 top three finishes, including winning nine events on the day. For the girls after Centralia and Hanover at the top it was the Frankfort Wildcats in third edging out the Valley Heights Mustangs by one-point 73 to 72 as a team for that spot, while the Onaga Buffaloes rounded out the action at fifth with 36 total points. While Centralia took home the most top three finishes, it was Hanover who took home the most first place finishes. The Wildcats of Hanover took home two relay titles as they won both the 4x400 and 4x800 meter relays. Courtney Jueneman, also took home two event titles for Hanover as she ran her way to a victory in the 800 meter run and jumped her way to the high jump crown. Hanover also won the long jump and triple jump events, as Pam Zarybnicky and Sydney Pralle won those events, respectively. Panthers of Centralia who tied Hanover for the overall team title took the second most first place finishes with five in the girls events on the day. Panthers saw two individuals snag multiple event first place medals with Michelle Haug and Amaris Jones each winning two events. Haug hurdled her way to wins in the 100 and 300-meter hurdles, while here teammate Jones won distance titles in the 1600 and 3200 meter runs. The only other Panther to win an event on the girls side was Katelynn Wiegert, as she won the discus throw. Valley Heights notched four event wins with Cassiday Coggins winning both the 100 and 200-meter dash, Kesley Potter won the 400-meter dash and Sidney Blackburn took home the shot put crown. Frankfort won events as Jessa Jones and Ashley Rogers each threw their way to victory in the pole vault and javelin throw, respectively. While Onaga's relay team won the 4x100-meter relay for their only first place finish of the day. On the boy’s side after Centralia in who finished in first with 139 total team points, Frankfort the host school took second with 91 total points. Valley Heights took third with 72 points, Onaga fourth with 38 points and Hanover fifth with 32. The Panthers took home half of the first place finishes on the day winning nine of the 18 events. It was Michael Glatzcak stealing the show as he won four events. Glatzcak sprinted his way to wins in the 100, 200 and 400-meter dashes, while also leaping to the long jump title. He wasn't the only multi-event winner on the day for Centralia as their relay team won both the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays. Three other Centralia athletes accounted for the other three first place finishes as Cody Heurter, Kyson Talkington and Brett Burdiek all won field events, taking the pole vault, discus throw and high jump titles, respectively. The Mustangs of Valley Heights took home four the other nine first place finishes on the day, with two of those going to Elijah Smith as he hurdled his way to the 110 and 300 meter hurdles titles. His teammates Tanner Trimble and Tommy Tryon each won an event too, as they took the triple jump and shot put titles on the day, respectively. Frankfort's, Adam Koch was the only other multi-event winner of the day, outside of the before mentioned. Koch paced himself to victories in the distance runs of 1600 and 3200-meter runs. Wildcats of Frankfort did notch three first places with the two from Koch and the other coming at the hands of their relay team in the 4x800 meter relay. The other two first place titles went to the Onaga Buffaloes as Michael Bliss and Mitchell Kufhal won the javelin throw and 800 meter run, respectively.
